Animal Control falls under the Patrol Division of the Del City Police Department, and all calls for Animal Control are dispatched through the Del City Police Department.
All animals picked up by Animal Control are taken to the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Center located at SE 29 & Bryant, 1.5 miles east of I-35.
The Animal Control section maintains live animal traps for use in capturing at-large animals that possibly constitute a nuisance. Citizens may check out these traps to aid in the capture of these problem animals.
The Animal Control Officer is on duty from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday thru Friday, and is "on call" for the weekends. You can call (405) 677-2443 to leave a message for Animal Control.
